Luxury Villa In Assam
I am Aaghun, I am a home situated in the quiet corner of the earth near Kaziranga National Park in Assam, where nature still breathes freely and time moves at its own pace. I am Aaghun, I am a home situated in the quiet corner of the earth near Kaziranga National Park in Assam, where nature still breathes freely and time moves at its own pace. My walls are simple, my rooms open to sunlight and birdsong. I am surrounded by tea bushes, paddy fields, lush green hills, fruit trees, flowers and the soft rustle of bamboo. I have a small pond where dragonflies play, a garden where guests pick vegetables and fruits straight from the soil and trees that bloom with flowers all year round. I am built not with sophistication, but with care. Inside, I offer everything you truly need - a comfortable bed, books that take you places and food that nourishes both body and soul. Sometimes hornbills and kingfishers visit, curious about the people who choose to stay with me. I don t promise luxury, but I promise calm. Every morning, the sun rises right in front of my rooms, spreading gold across the tea garden and paddy field. The air carries the scent of fresh leaves and damp soil. Evenings are calm, with low light, quiet conversations and the crackle of a bonfire. I welcome everyone who comes with curiosity and kindness. The elderly find peace here; children find freedom. My hosts, Samadrita and Abhijit, shape the rhythm of life here. Samadrita, a nutritionist, takes care of what your body, heart and soul require. Every meal she prepares carries warmth, health and the taste of home. Abhijit, an ex-journalist turned travel curator, designs experiences rather than itineraries. He listens to each guest, their pace, passion, and curiosity, and helps shape days that feel authentic, never rushed or repetitive. Step outside me, and the world of Kaziranga opens up in all its wonder. You can walk through villages where life moves slowly, meet weavers spinning tales into threads and artisans shaping bamboo and cane into beautiful crafts or taste litchis, strawberries and watermelons straight from the farms. Wander through sun-drenched orange orchards, cycle through the most diverse and breathtaking landscapes, or set out for off-road adventure that challenge your spirit. You can go for a safari inside Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve, walk with naturalists, watch birds by the wetlands, or simply play in the water - dipping your feet in streams, exploring rivers or standing beneath hidden waterfalls. Trekking over the hills that guard the park gives you new perspectives and the world beyond my walls feels alive in its purest form. I am not sophisticated, I am simple, but real. Here, you can rest, reflect, write, paint or simply breathe. If this is the life you crave, come to me - to breathe and live as I live. Before you go, plant a tree - a seed of memory and a symbol of our shared time. I am Aaghun. But I am not for everyone, if I am for you, you will know... www.aaghun.com
